Our Multicultural Resource Centre (MRC) lending library was established in 1974 in response to a recognised need for early years books and resources that reflect children and families’ cultural histories and respect their unique identities. We encourage you to browse the wide range of children’s books and resources designed to provide opportunities for all children to experience diversity and difference in ways that nurture positive attitudes, and care and respect for others.
Our Pedagogy and Practice Consultants can assist fkaCS members in selecting resources and books to meet their pedagogical needs.
Browse our online catalogue at www.library.fka.com.au or visit us in person. fkaCS members can borrow up to 30 items at a time for a maximum of 10 weeks per loan.
Extensions may be granted provided the item has not been reserved. Please contact us if you would like support in choosing resources.
Members are welcome onsite Tuesday to Friday between 9.30am and 4.30pm to browse the collection, pick up, or return loans. Education and Care Service members are eligible for one free parcel delivery (up to 5kgs) per year, excluding return postage.
Members with the Outreach Program are eligible for 4 free parcel deliveries – return postage included – for the duration of the membership year.
