Exclusive Members’ Only Event – Participation, Inquiry and Belonging with Dr Claire Warden

Join fka Children’s Services for a morning with internationally recognised early childhood educator and author Dr Claire Warden as we explore the connections between participation, inquiry and belonging in early childhood education.

Drawing on her extensive experience in nature pedagogy, children’s rights and inquiry-based learning, Claire will share practical ideas and examples that support educators to create environments where children’s voices, questions and perspectives genuinely influence learning.

This professional learning event offers a unique opportunity to reflect on practice, engage in meaningful discussion with colleagues, and explore approaches that strengthen children’s agency, identity and sense of belonging.

Participants will:

  • Explore how participation supports children’s agency, voice and belonging.
  • Learn strategies for listening to and responding to children’s thinking.
  • Reflect on inquiry-based approaches that build on children’s interests, identities and experiences.
  • Consider practical ways to document and extend children’s learning.
