As we come to the end of 2022, it is not only important to take time to celebrate how much each of you have contributed to the outcomes for the children you have educated and cared for over the year, but also to celebrate the increasing recognition of the critical importance of quality Early Childhood Education and Care. This is no more evident than in the re-elected Victorian Labor Party’s continuing commitment to enhancing and expanding Victoria’s Early Childhood and Care sector.

In case you missed some of the State Labor Government’s pre-election promises, we have outlined what the sector can look forward to in the coming years. With so much already on offer to support Victoria’s Kindergarten reform, and as you plan for the coming year, we thought it would be helpful to outline all that is currently on offer to ensure you maximise available support.

The new year is a time many of us purchase new equipment and resources for our service, so we thought it timely to encourage reflection to support inclusive choices. You may also wish to file this away for when we hear more about the Victorian Governments pre-election promise of a grant to purchase resources and equipment – read on for more information!

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank each of our members for your contribution towards all children actively participating in quality education and care services that recognise, value, and embed difference and diversity.
