fkaCS eNews | Term 4 2021

Welcome to the last fkaCS Members eNewsletter for 2021!

As we approach the end of another disrupted year and life springs back around us - with months’ worth of plans, events, activities, meetings, visitors, orientation and transition to school plans packed into the last few weeks of the year - we encourage you to take to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic work you have undertaken to create a sense of belonging for children and families.

The team at fka Children’s Services recognises the incredible efforts of our Victorian Early Childhood Education and Care professionals who have provided an oasis for children and a solid foundation for their education and learning, and we thank you all for your strength, resilience and commitment to young children and their families.

In this issue, we aim to highlight some of the fantastic work being done by our members to support children and families’ identity, welling and belonging. We reflect on finding a sense of wellbeing and joy working in the early year’s sector. You will find information on the incredible supports available through the Department of Education’s End to End Career Supports Program for new teachers and how to access that support, with an information video hosted by Anthony Semann.

We have some fantastic offers for members from our partner organisations Yarn Strong Sista and Global Language Books. You will also find some information about the new Possum Skin Pedagogy kits available for members to borrow in 2022!

We wish you all a safe and relaxing holiday period, and hope you’re able to enjoy the long-awaited celebrations with loved ones now that restrictions have eased.

Please note, our office and the Multicultural Resource Centre will be closed from midday 22 December 2021 to 9am 12 January 2022. See you in the new year!
