Eligibility:

If you are a SSS and wish to attend the conference, contact your Area Implementation Manager to secure your place. If you are Regional, Area or Central Office staff, or an interested person who would like to attend, please add yourself to the waitlist. You will be contacted in early February 2019 with further details.

The Department is hosting a conference for teachers, school leaders, school support services (SSS) and early childhood educators to build their skills and to improve the delivery and sustainability of positive climates for learning.

The Changing the Climate Conference will be held on 14 and 15 March 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Conference participants will be offered a personalised program based on their work with early childhood, primary or secondary students, or as student support services staff. They will have the opportunity to hear from a range of Australian and international expert practitioners and thought leaders.

To maximise the opportunities for direct and practical engagement with the guest presenters, this conference will be structured around a series of short keynote presentations followed by highly interactive workshops delivered by the presenters.

The workshops will be structured to offer the opportunity for open dialogue between participants and the presenters around the four conference themes: Behavioural Science, Systems Change, Interventions, and Outcomes.
